The ingredients needed to cook Chilli Fry:
- Use 5 Banana Pepper/Large Chillies
- Provide 1 cup Gram Flour
- Use 1/4 tsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder
- You need 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- Use 1 pinch Baking Soda
- Take Salt
- Take Oil
- Provide Water
Instructions to make Chilli Fry:
- Slit the chillies & take out the seeds completely. Then slice into long pieces.
- Mix gram flour, salt, baking soda, chilli powder, turmeric powder & water into a thick batter without any lumps.
- Heat oil in a pan. Dip the chillies in the batter, covering both sides & deep fry till golden brown.
Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, pepper powder, turmeric powder, vinegar and fry for a few minutes. Add the meat and mix well. Add the vegetables and chillies to the wok, and fry briskly for a minute. Prawn chilli fry tastes lip smacking with chapati, pao, rice, appams and dosa. If there is left-over which I doubt could be used as stuffing inside sandwiches, croquettes, samosa, frankie or grilled sandwiches.
