The ingredients needed to cook Lager Chili:
  1. Prepare 2 lb Ground Beef
  2. Take 1 large Yellow Onion
  3. Provide 1 large Green Peeper
  4. Prepare 1 large Orange or Yellow Pepper
  5. Prepare 2 medium Jalapeno Peppers
  6. Get 1 can Diced Tomatoes, no flavoring - size is up to you
  7. Take 1 can Red Kidney Beans - size it up to you
  8. Use 1 can Black Beans - size is up to you.
  9. Prepare 4 clove Garlic
  10. Prepare 4 tbsp Chilli Powder
  11. Get 1/2 tbsp Kosher Salt
  12. Use 1/2 tsp Habanero Pepper Sauce
  13. Provide 1 1/2 can Yuengling or Heineken lager
Steps to make Lager Chili:
  1. Mince: 1/2 Onion, 1 Jalapeno, 1/4 of each remaining Pepper, and 2 cloves Garlic.
  2. Coarse chop remaining fresh ingredients
  3. Place Ground Beef, Minced ingredients, salt, and 2 Tbs Chili Powder into Dutch Over. Brown, covered, over medium heat.
  4. While meat is browning, drain Tomatoes and Beans, and rinse well. Place in bowl, and add all remaining fresh ingredients, and Chili Powder. Stir well.
  5. Once meat is completely browned, add remaining seasoned vegetables, Pepper Sauce, and Lager. Stir well.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover. Simmer for 45 mins (firmer vegs) to 1 1/2 hrs (soft vegs), stirring occasionally.
  7. NOTE: Lager is a required ingredient! Also, if you like a thicker stew, stir in 2 Tbls Instant Mashed Potatoes when chilli has finished cooking.

This Chili needs something either hoppier or darker or the flavor of the beer doesn't pop. I will definitely search out Ancho Chili Powder for my next go (I'm moving so I'm lacking time to look for it.
