  3. Prepare 1/2 cup yoghurt

Instructions to make Jowar / Sorghum Chilla:
  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil in a big bowl and make a lump free batter.
  2. Now heat a non-stick pan and apply some oil to it and pour two ladleful batter on it and spread it to make medium thik chilla. Now cover and cook it on low heat until it is light brown on the side underneath. Now add a teaspoon of oil on top and turn it over.
  3. Again cook on medium to high heat to get light brown colour on the other side. This time you don't need to cover it. When it is ready, transfer it to a wire rack. Prepare all the chilla in the similar way.
  4. Serve hot jowar chilla with yoghurt, pickles or chutneys. It goes well with a cup of tea or coffee. It can be served as breakfast as well as a light meal.

Jowar is the Indian name for sorghum, a cereal grain native to Africa.
