Although we’re always being encouraged to follow healthy eating habits, it is also easier than ever to rely on fast food and other convenience items that are not beneficial for us. People typically assume that healthy diets require a great deal of work and will significantly change how they live and eat. Contrary to that information, people can alter their eating habits for the better by making several small changes.

Initially, you will have to be very careful when food shopping that you don’t automatically put things in your cart that you no longer want to eat. For example, has it crossed your mind to check how much sugar and salt are in your breakfast cereal? In this recipe, the leftover khichdi was ground in a blender jar. For the chila batter, I have used gram flour (besan) as it is highly nutritious. Some rice flour (chawal ka atta) can also be added to the batter to obtain crispy chilas. This besan is combined with curd (dahi) and chopped onions (pyaaz) along with some spices. Take soaked and drained moon dal and blend in a mixer using little water to make a thick paste.
