- Prepare 6 idlis (cooked/ leftovers)
- Use 4-5 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- Use 1 tsp green chilli ginger paste
- Use 1 onion (petals)
- You need 1 capsicum,(cubed)
- Take 1/2 cup cabbage
- Get 2 tbsp spring onion
- Use 1 tsp red chilli sauce
- Get 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- You need 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- Take 1 tbsp vinegar
- Provide 1 tbsp schezwan sauce
- Get Few drops orange food colour (optional)
- Provide 2 tbsp oil

- Use 1/4 cup All purpose flour
- Use 2 + 1 tbsp corn flour
- Use 1 tbsp rice flour
- Get to taste salt

Steps to make Chinese Chilli Idli:
- First cut all idli into long strips.
- In a bow add all purpose flour, corn flour, rice flour,salt and red chilli powder,mix well,add water and make medium thick batter.
- Meanwhile heat oil in a wok, now dip idli pieces one by one into the better and drop into hot oil.Fry until nice golden in colour on medium to high flame.keep aside.
- Now in a pan/wok heat 2tbsp oil, add chopped garlic,stir for few secs. add onion,capsicum and cabbage.Saute on a medium heat for few minutes.
- Add ginger chilli paste,saute well.Add soya sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, red chilli sauce, schezwan sauce,food colour and salt.Mix well.
- In a small bowl add 1 tbsp corn flour and water to make paste,add this corn flour paste in the pan and mix well.
- Add fried idli and saute until well combined.
- Chinese chilli idli is ready to serve.
