  1. First of all,wash and peel all the potatoes.
  2. Ninja Technique for Cutting Spiral Shaped Potatoes without any machine: Place a cutting board on a table or shelf.Place the potato near the edge of cutting board as shown in pic.(I have made video but cant post because i dont have iphone)
  3. Now cut straight thin slices of potatoes halfway only (untill your knife touches the board) as shown in pic.
  4. Now turn the potato.Again place near the edge of cutting board. This time cut the thin slices halfway (until your knife touches board) in "/" this titled shape.
  5. Hurrah We have now got tornado or spiral shaped potato without any machine.
  6. Now carefully insert a Shashlik stick all the way through the potato longitudinally. Then with the help of your hand separate each spiral to a little distance.Dont try too hard other wise spirals will break.
  7. Do the same method with other 3 potatoes and put them in a bowl full of cold water as shown in pic.Let them soak in water for about 20-25 minutes so that they starch will vanish away.
  8. For batter preparation,take a bowl and add plain flour,baking powder,oil and vinegar.
  9. Mix them and now slowly add water in it and at the same time keep wisking it with hand whisk so that no lumps can form. Keep the consistency thin like water.
  10. Now place one spiral in batter bowl and soak the spiral in batter with the help of spoon.
