The ingredients needed to cook Aratikaya Vundalu:
- Get 1 Plantain
- Use 2 medium sized onions
- Take 1-2 green chillies (depending on chilli’s spice level)
- Use to taste Salt
- Use 1 1/2-2 tsp Chilli powder
- Provide 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
- You need 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Provide 2 teaspoon khas khas (Grind to paste)
- Provide 1/4 portion Of coconut
- Prepare 8-10 whole Cashew nuts (chop them to small pieces and keep ready)
- Take 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala
- Get 30-35 gms Putana dal (grind it to powder)
- Prepare 1/4 bunch Coriander leaves
- Get As needed Oil for deep frying
Instructions to make Aratikaya Vundalu:
- Peel, wash Plantain and cut into small cubes, add chopped onions, chopped green chillies, salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder
- Add a small cup of water and cook on medium flame. Water should be evaporated while cooking.
- Mash it once it is done. Add ginger garlic paste, putana dal powder, garam masala, coconut - khas khas paste, chopped coriander, chopped cashew nuts. Mix it up so that it can form shapes
- Heat oil in kadhai on medium flame and make flat shapes of the mix and deep fry them. Take them out and place them on a tissue paper. They are ready to serve!
