  1. Clean and wash the mushrooms and pat dry. Cube capsicum and set aside.Also slit green chillies.
  2. Make a batter of 2 tbsp cornflour and all purpose flour.Add little salt. Heat oil in a nonstick pan.Dip each mushroom into a cornflour and maida batter and fry in hot oil.Fry also the slit green chillies.Remove the remaining oil.Add just 1 tbsp oil in the pan.Fry the chopped ginger and garlic.Add the capsicum and stir fry.Now add the deep fried mushrooms.Add the red chilli paste,soya sauce,tomato ketchup,salt and honey or sugar.Toss all.
  3. Add chopped spring onion and capsicum and slit green chillies.Adding a pinch of ajinomoto enhances the flavour but it's optional.
  4. Lastly add half tbsp cornflour batter so that the consistency is a bit sticky.
  5. Serve as starter or enjoy with fried rice or noodles.
