  1. Prepare 1 lb fresh green beans
  2. Use 2 piece bacon (cut in half)
  3. Take 4 tbsp butter or margarine (melted))
  4. Provide 1/3 cup brown sugar

  1. Wash and trim ends off green beans
  2. Bring a pan of water to a boil over high heat. Add green beans and blanch for 2 minutes. Remove beans and tranfer to a ice bath for 2 minutes.
  3. After the 2 minute ice bath dry beans on paper towels.Preheat oven to 375°F
  4. In a bowl whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire, chilli powder, black and cayenne pepper
  5. Divide green beans into 4 bundles wrapping each one with a half piece of bacon tightly. Place in a baking dish seam side down.
  6. Spoon the butter mixture over the bacon..Place in oven and cook 30 minutes. I brushed the butter mixture over the bacon 2 times while cooking.Enjoy!!!

I got the recipe from a friend of a friend-so not sure where it orginated. They are time consuming to make, and you have to plan ahead but I promise you they are well worth it! Gather each portion into a neat bunch and wrap a half slice of bacon around the center to hold the beans together.
